Bliss. Relaxation. Peace. Refreshment. Relief.
Four days without waking up early to take the dogs out to potty.
I couldn't help sleeping in, but I still had to get up by 10am if I wanted to eat breakfast before going to the Spa. We went across the street to Winship, one of the oldest brick buildings in Sausalito, renovated to be a bar/restaurant resembling a ship. After some sausage & eggs, we stopped by 2 of the galleries that had our 2 favorite paintings. One was a bowl of cherries and too far on display for us to get a good look at the artist's information, and the other was a red floral oil painting by French artist Jaline Pol. This one was our favorite, because it was so attractive and captivating. It was also 3D and had the perfect frame.
Similar to this one, but longer, redder, and no green:
$9,875, end of story.
So after our late breakfast, we headed back to the hotel to the Avanyu Spa. Richard stuck with an ultra-long deep tissue massage and I had a body scrub, warm honey wrap, head/neck massage, and an essential oil rub. That was seriously, honestly, truthfully the best ever Spa treatment I've ever had. It was even on one of those cool shower beds where you lie down the entire time and don't have to get up while they scrub you down, give you a shower, and clean you all up. So that way, after the treatment, I was ready to go and didn't have to shower & waste all the oils and lotions they rubbed me up with.
So after all the R&R, we headed back to the city. Since Union St. shopping was on the way, we drove by and saw the cutest doggie boutique called Bella & Daisy. It's similar to The Wagging Tail here on Montana but the prices are more reasonable. I got a green hooded baggy sweatshirt for Moley and a pink ribbed tank top that says "Spoiled Rotten" for Lulu.
Then we headed to Ti Couz for crepes. Now, it's been a while since I've been to Ti Couz and previously I had declared the place in Palm Springs as the best place to eat crepes. Well, it's time for a recrowning because their crepe batter just beats all else. I started with the La Delice which is a white wheat batter with nutella, bananas, and ice cream. Then I decided that wasn't enough so I had another dessert, the Apple, Caramel, and Ice Cream crispy crepe. Yum. It was so good. Seriously, if it weren't for the serious pain my stomach was in, I would have eaten another one.
Sadly, that marked the end of our trip. After that it was a long, trafficky drive to the airport and back to LA to pick up the pups and back to reality.
P.S. Lulu peed on me for the first time that night. Even though I was wearing white pants, I couldn't get angry- it was the first time I've ever seen real affection from her :-D
