I wanna go home =(

Work has been so stressful this week.. and next week will be worse.

Not to mention I was sick this week (had some form of a cold or the flu) and had to work right through it.

Now it's 7:45PM and I am still unsure what time I will be leaving tonight.

I wonder what Lulu is doing?

She is probably just as sad...

Awwwwwh...

After 2 straight days of work and a weekend at home with the family, Lulu is confused as we leave on Monday morning...

Don't I get to come to work?

I heart cupcakes.

Got a cupcake today in celebration of a co-workers birthday.

So cute.

Good thing I have no reservations eating cow.

What do you do on Friday nights?

Last night Steve went on an HP7 hunt with me.

First stop, Ralph's at 10PM. No line. Nobody there. Books released at 12:01AM. What to do for 2 hours?

So we headed to Borders. I figured I could read parts of HP6 while waiting in line... it was craziness. There was a Harry Potter party, costume contests, and a gazillion kids running around and screaming. After I couldn't take it anymore, we gave up and went back to Ralph's at 11:20PM.

There was already a line forming near the cashiers, right next to the dog food. We bought some vitamin water, pumped up our iPhones, sat down next to the dog food and waited.

Yay!

Beach Par-Tay!

Had a beach party today at a beach house on the Strand in Manhattan Beach... it was so nice to be outside all day!

We were all dismissed at 11AM to go to the beach party but having a half day puts a strain on everyone. I didn't make it to the party until 1PM, just in time for lunch.

Will post more pictures later... fun stuff like water balloon fights and jello shots!

Hardly working...

And what does Lulu do as my assistant?

Nothing. She just sits there and watches me.

(Very boring)

A hard day's work...

So what does Lulu do at work as a Steve's Assistant?

Morning meeting with Gidget the Pug...

Protects her boss from any potential invaders from nearby cubicles...

Employs her spin-attack when necessary...

And takes an afternoon nap after a hard day's work!

Uh Oh.

I think I am experiencing my first Sprinkles stomachache -- after just one cupcake. One of my co-workers received a dozen birthday cupcakes on Monday so I took a red velvet. A few hours later I started feeling very nauseous.

Later that night I went to a Bar Method class with Judy and I threw up a little after doing sets of crunches. I thought it might have been the fact that I hadn't worked out in a while... so I let it go.

Then on Tuesday morning I had the worst... several bathroom sessions in a row. Definitely something up.

And today I am still feeling very bleacch.

Noooo. I refuse to believe it was the sprinkles.

More Birthday Pictionary

Happy 30th Birthday Roberto! All of these July babies... Robert and Marcela invited us to his birthday party at Fogo de Chao last night.

Robert and Marcela's nephew Colby.

Is that a transformers cake!!! :)

Always smiling.

Saw Jimmy and Selvy... weird to think I used to spend all-day everyday with them!

Happy Birthday Steve!

Happy 28th birthday to Steve! His was on July 3rd, so on July 4th Judy and I threw a BBQ at their apartment for him, his twin and his college friends. We had a ton of food and beer... BBQ chicken, kalbi, burgers and hot dogs. Judy and I made cupcakes that morning, red velvet and fudge. We all played guitar hero. Good times.

The Saturday before, I took him to Color Me Mine on Beverly where we made each other a mug. Pictures of the finished product to come soon. ~.~

Then the following Saturday I took Steve to Chefmakers in Pacific Palisades where we took a cooking course in summer grilling. The menu was awesome, this is what we made:

• Grilled Marinated Flank Steak
• Seared Tuna with Cilantro Coulis
• Tomato and Corn Salad with Basil Vinaigrette
• Beet Salad with Shallots and Rosemary
• Caramelized Peaches with Raspberries

In fact, the class was so inspiring that we've been cooking at home for about 1.5 weeks now... epicurean dishes such as spam and eggs, spaghetti, mie goreng, pork chops... you know, my specialties. :)
