Another Celebrity Sighting..

Should make this a weekly article huh? Anyhow, I passed by Nicky Hilton and her friend eating a late lunch at Barney's while I was walking out of the restaurant.

I didn't really get a good look at her, just a glance as I was leaving.

I mean, I didn't want to gawk or anything. :P

Happy Thanksgiving!

Blonds vs. Brunettes

There is a recurring theme in Soap Operas. Boy meets girl #1. Boy dates girl #1. They break up. Boy meets girl #2. Boy falls madly in love with girl #2. Girl #1 does everything in her power to get back with boy by trying to kill girl #2, trying to make girl #2 leave town, or trying to get pregnant with boy.

But where in the soap opera bible does it say that conniving evil manupulative girl #1 is a brunette and sweet innocent girl #2 is a blond?

GIRL #1:                  GIRL #2:
Passions~

Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald vs. Gwen

Kay Bennett vs. Charity Standish

Beth Wallace vs. Sheridan Crane

Days of our Lives~

Jan Spears vs. Belle Black

Isn't it sad that I know all these characters by first and last name.

It's that time again...

Warehouse Sale!!

Because of the popularity of the warehouse sale the last time...
I'm throwing one again! Hopefully more of you will be in town for this one. It's December 11-12... TWO DAYS! (Sat + Sun) I know some of you were complaining last time because of the timing... so hopefully you'll be able to make it out to this one!

We are -expanding- so there will be new brands, more styles, and more importantly more denim!! Oh wait, and even MORE importantly... more cashiers! (So sorry about the line last time :P)

Again, please let me know if you are going to come by... this time I won't be busy at the cashiers so please say hi if you come!

http://www.dealblvd.com/ for details, directions, and list of brands.

I am taking requests! Since I am preparing inventory now, please comment below if there is anything in particular you guys are looking for... that way I can make sure I have it for the sale! For example... some people requested more Von Dutch Jeans and Frankie B. cord jackets...

P.S. If you absolutely cannot make it on these days, let me know. Maybe I can arrange a private shopping appointment before or after the event!

Shocker

I went jogging today.

exhausted...

What a day.

I stayed up until 5:30 am last night doing my Architecture/Urban Development research project... got a few hours of sleep then rushed to school. Sat through the longest/boringest lecture in the world for an hour and a half... and found out my paper wasn't even due today! The prof. extended the deadline until December 4th!

I hate losing sleep!

Not to mention my dishwasher broke so the TON of dishes I had sitting in the dishwasher all had to be rewashed including the new pile in the sink from yesterday's mini pre-xmas party and I literally scrubbed dishes and glasses until my fingertips were raw and hurting... and I was wearing gloves!!

Well no matter how annoying my day is~ at least I have a nice place to kick back and unwind now. I just pop in the Time Life Christmas Classics CD and watch my Christmas tree twinkle.

But I can't complain~ I had dinner from my favorite delivery place: Mr. Cecil's Ribs. Half a rack of baby back ribs and a double order of Hush Puppies on the sides is just enough to get me lying on the sofa sick with food coma. :D

As promised!

A pictorial of what our living room went through this weekend...

Here is the "before" picture... getting ready to tear out the carpet.

And here's a "during" picture. Sleepyheads.

Richard wiring everything back up, putting things back into place.

Ta-Da! Our pre-lit tree :-) With my lone Winnie-the-Pooh ornament.

Our new couch area.

My sisters' and I threw a "pre-Christmas" party. We watched Elf, started trimming the tree and picked names for Secret Santa.

Here is the centerpiece I made for the holidays. Unfortunately I haven't bought the right candles yet so these I pulled out of my bathroom :P.

Here's the gang! This is actually take 2... during take 1 Moley was so nervous about his close-up shot that he peed all over the floor and Vina. Good thing we have wood now!

Living Room 98% Done!!!

Our living room renovation is almost done! So far we've done everything ourselves (spent every weekend for the past month at Expo, Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel and of course Home Depot) except for flooring & electrical, but here's a list of things we've done:

- Painted the walls, trim and ceiling 3 different colors and added a faux texture finish to the walls.
- Bought some new furniture: wooden ledge for behind sofa, iron/wood wall decoration, pedestal, vases, fake flowers, wood screen, drapery+hardware, ottoman bench, decorative pillows, house plant, floor lamp and 2 paintings.
- Take down our two dimmer ceiling lamps and installed a large fan/light in the middle.
- Take down custom drapes + valance and installed new curtain rods, curtains and sheers.
- Made a decorative floral arrangement to put in an old trunk.
- Replaced recessed lighting to spotlights designated to illuminate our 2 new paintings.
- Replaced white carpet with engineered bamboo wood floors!
- Rewired surround speakers to hide underneath flooring.
- Put up a Christmas tree! (We decided to go artificial... went with a 7.5 ft with pre-installed lighting. Convenient!)

There are still a couple of things we need to do before we move on to redecorate the bedroom:
- Install new fireplace frame/cover to match furniture.
- Find the perfect side table.
- Trim the Christmas tree.
- Make a centerpiece for the coffee table.
- Buy a white plush rug for center of the room. (I know, kind of ironic. Take out white carpeting only to buy a white rug to hide the wood flooring? Blame Richard.)
- Find painting and other decorations for the ledge behind the sofa.
- Buy new combination of decorative pillows for the sofa.
- Buy or make a Christmas wreath for the empty wall in the entry way.
- Paint the kitchen a light sage green color.

Pictures to come soon ~.~

I got sucked in...

My friends are getting free ipods left and right so I decided to jump on the wagon and try it out for myself.

All you have to do is join, complete an online offer, and refer 5 friends to do the same. And that's it~ I just did the Blockbuster offer since it's free, quick and painless. Other offers were to sign up for credit cards and other free trials... I think the Blockbuster one was the easiest.

Please use my referral link! (Seriously... it only takes 30 seconds to sign up :D)

Lulu's Haircut

Somehow her face looks like she shrunk :-(

Celebrity Sightings

This week's Celebrity Sightings:

Earlier this week I saw "Bree" (Desperate Housewives) at the Bed, Bath and Beyond on Olympic Blvd. Ironic, isn't it?

The funny thing about her was that she looked exactly like her role as Bree on DH. Her hair was perfectly in place (and didn't move!) and she just pushed her cart around with perfect posture... exactly like her character would.

(Gabe, I bet you're jealous...) Another celeb probably only I would notice... I saw Jaymee Ong at Sawtelle Kitchen on Saturday. She's a Chinese/Australian model/actress, she did some Jackie Chan films in Hong Kong (Gen-X Cops, etc) as well as Aaron Kwok music videos... you might recognize her from "Las Vegas" she was in an episode a while back.

One thing I love about winter: I get to dress up the doggies :) Here's Moley in the only shirt that will fit him and Lulu in a new pink "American Pup" T-shirt.

My bath bar

Remember that mebath ice cream I've been raving about? Well I've recently found more of the same at LUSH (3rd Street Promenade). They have bath bombs in different flavors and functions: lavender to relax or butterball to soften your skin. They also have bubble bath chunks, when dipped in running water they foam up to create a very bubbly bath.

I found this cute vase at Pottery Barn and decided it would be a perfect way to serve up my bubble bath. Here are the bath bomb flavors I picked up today: Avobath, Sex bomb, All That Jasmine, Softy, Waving not Drowning and Butterball. And the bubble bars are Hot Milk? and Creamy Candy. I try to stay with the softer colors because I read a horror story where someone tried the Hot Java Bomb and it left a permanent red ring around her tub. =(
