A Taste of Home

Last night was Vina's last night before leaving for Japan... she will be in Japan for 2-3 weeks and immediately move to San Diego when she gets back... the last one leaves the nest!

So last night I cooked a "Mommy" meal for her - Ayam Goreng (Indonesian fried chicken), Kang Kung (veggies) and Sop Bakkut (Uhm... backbone soup?). Not bad!

It was my first time making the soup and chicken -- the whole meal took about 1 hour to prepare. I was so hungry by the time I was frying the chicken. =/ But... if Yona can do it, so can I!

Then continuing on in my domestic streak, I also cooked some Mie Ayam (Chicken Noodles) and stuck it in the fridge for Steve and I to bring to work today. :)

Yay for home-cooked meals.
