So it's the end of January and I haven't made a single peep about resolutions. Not to say I haven't thought about them, I just wasn't sure what would be feasible or even reasonable. So now I think I've come up with one resolution.
Spend more time outside.
I'm going to cover a lot with this single resolution -- whether it's routinely taking a jog around the country club, cycling on the weekends, walking to dinner on San Vincente or spending Sunday mornings at the farmers market, my overall goal this year is to spend more time outside and less time in front of the TV/computer.
In addition to the usual day-to-day activities I can do outside, I wanted to add some new ones. For example, learning photography by visiting random places in LA to just casually shoot. Visiting Runyon Canyon, Griffith Park and other places I've never been to for dog hikes. Take Lulu out to the dog beach more often. Enjoy lingering meals or afternoon tea/dessert on the patios of my favorite restaurants. Play sports at the local park. Picnics. Long walks.
Hmm. This is starting to sound like a personals ad.
*edit: I originally used the term "outdoors" but I didn't want this resolution to be confused with the general activities associated with the outdoors such as camping, fishing and other mountainous things I would never do.
