Pitter Patter

The best thing to do on a rainy day is to stay indoors and watch TV. So we started Heroes Season 1 on Friday night.

And we finished on Sunday afternoon.

Lulu Baby

I am having an extremely stressful (bad) day at work today so I am taking a short break to think/talk about Lulu!

So this morning I turned on the TV as I was getting ready for work -- a new luxury ever since Steve moved his TV into my bedroom. :) Even though it was only 15 minutes of the morning news, I immediately felt a little more in touch with the outside world. I mean, I didn't even hear about the OJ thing until 2 days ago when he was already out on bail. Serious lag in news.

So as I was getting ready to leave, I felt my usual pangs of guilt about leaving Lulu alone at home all day and decided to leave the TV on for her for an hour (Thank God for the sleep function). I don't have Animal Planet anymore so I was browsing channels for a dog-friendly (or at least dog-interesting) show for her to watch when I came across the BabyFirstTV channel.

In the mornings they show "Baby Developmental" programming with colorful pictures and... animals! I called for Lulu's attention and in no time she was watching intently while softly barking at the pigs and chickens under her breath. So sad that these days the TV is a "child's" best nanny.

I remember seeing an infomercial a while back about a DVD made especially for cats with scenes or birds flying around and chirping... I need to hunt one of those down for Lulu. That would TOTALLY keep her busy all day. :P

Organic Growth

To celebrate the launch of our re-designed website, all of the employees at my work (across all offices) got a little gift on our desks today. (Mine's green!)

We each got an iPod shuffle growing out of a little wheatgrass plant. Matches the new website, heehee.

Edit: So I swapped my green shuffle for a blue one yesterday... it's turquoise-y and super cuter. This continues my streak of never paying for an iPod!!

Preparing for Fall TV

So... it's time for my annual TV Line-Up research to pick out what shows to record, and in what priority.

There are a couple of regular favorites that I always record... these include:

Desperate Housewives - I bought the last season on iTunes and caught up over the summer... so glad Susan is back with Mike!
The Office - Always a favorite... rooting for Jim & Pam to get together.
Grey's Anatomy - Meredith's Sister!!!
CSI - Can't wait for Grissom to solve the "Mini" serial killer... and
How I Met Your Mother - Rented and rewatched Season 1 on DVD and have been watching Season 2 reruns all summer... Wondering now if Victoria will come back from her cooking fellowship in Germany?

And here are the new shows from this season that I will be adding:
Heroes - Downloaded the first season from iTunes (loving my AppleTV) and furiously trying to catch up before the Season Premiere.
Gossip Girl - It is by Josh Schwartz who penned two of my all-time favorite shows so I'll have to give this one a try.
Big Bang Theory - What is it with nerds on TV these days?
Chuck - Another nerd show, looks like it might be a good comedy.
Pushing Daisies - Gathering as much buzz as Desperate Housewives did when it first came out -- hoping it is just as good.
Dirty Sexy Money - Not really my type of show but it has good reviews so far -- don't want to miss out.

So Yona... should I save and keep these for you to catch up when you get back??? :D :D

Sigh.

The state of American education today. Sigh.
